Living in London means we are blessed with some of the best views in the world. The capital’s skyline is unique - dotted with iconic landmarks and UNESCO World Heritage sites, with the meandering lines of the River Thames and the verdant lushness of royal parks providing equally as arresting outlooks.

How much can a view add?

Multiple pieces of research conducted over the years have shown that properties with an attractive view can expect to sell for a higher price than those without. In fact, a roof terrace or balcony can add, on average, 12% to the value of your home. It has also been quantified that a room with a view of a park can add 19% to the average value of a property.

In London, it was found that a view of Buckingham Palace or Kensington Palace can attract a premium of 20%, while a sighting of the Shard, the London Eye or a traditional garden square or park will prompt purchasers to pay 15% more for the property. The most staggering piece of research, however, found that Londoners were sometimes paying premiums of up to 93% for views of the River Thames.

Find your outstanding outlook

At Behr & Butchoff we are fortunate to offer properties to rent and for sale in some picturesque areas, many with enticing outlooks. Our clients have moved in and enjoyed views of Lord’s Cricket Ground, Abbey Road, Regent’s Park and the pretty waterways of Little Venice.  One of our most recent sold properties was this four bedroom duplex penthouse, and the new owner is currently enjoying panoramic views of London from their private roof terrace.

Here is a selection of current properties available through us, where there’s a room with a view:-
